PO Presidential Candidate Komorowski Sees Voter Support Decline Few Days Ahead of Elections

PO presidential candidate Bronislaw Komorowski could count on 41% of the votes in the first round of presidential elections versus 45% a month ago, a poll conducted by TNS OBOP public opinion research showed.

His main rival PiS candidate Jaroslaw Kaczynski enjoys 31% support, down from 33%.

Left-wing opposition party SLD candidate Grzegorz Napieralski gained 5 pps and now enjoys 8% support, while support for junior coalition partner PSL candidate Waldemar Pawlak remained at 2%, the poll showed.

In the second round Komorowski could count on 54% of votes, down by 1 pp m/m and Kaczynski on 38%, also down 1 pp.

54% of 965 Poles surveyed declare they will participate in the first round of the elections for sure. 52% of them is sure to take part in the second round.
